Study with Jan

Being devoted to guitar and music for the past twenty years allow me to share my expertise and knowledge with students of all backgrounds and ages, from beginners to advanced.Though reaching the greatest standards of musicianship and performance still remain my goal, I’m glad and fully aware of my repsonsability as a teacher and the important influence I can give to my students’ careers and lives.
My style is a composite of jazz and rock influences. I don’t try to play any one particular style. I just absorb what I like and play. If you are curious and open about learning different musical genres, it all will flow with whatever way your personality wishes to express it.

Why you should learn from me?

With over 20 years experience as a performer and teacher and an B.A. in Classical Guitar and M.A. in Jazz Performance from best European Conservatories , I will help you to know you what you really need to play guitar. I’m a professional musician who have also received “The Gary Burton Scholarship” from Berklee College of Music, and have extensive touring experience as a leader and a sideman in multiple genres. I performed, toured and recorded with some of the most respected names in the industry. These include: Hiram Bullock, Bob Reynolds, Janek Gwizdala, Vardan Ovsepian, Damian Erskine, Ziv Ravitz, Chaun Duprè Horton, Dean Brown, Tatiana Parra, Stef Burns and many others.
I have vast experience teaching and performing. I am passing these skills and opportunities to you.

Advanced Jazz Guitar and Ensemble Classes – Full Program

For admission you must be at least 14 years old by the start of the program. You’ll also need a minimum of two years of formal music training or experience on your principal instrument , and good working knowledge/familiarity with the written fundamentals of music theory (including rhythmic notation, melodic notation in treble and bass clefs, key signatures, major and minor scales, intervals, and construction of triads and seventh chords).

Because you’ll be enrolled in classes with full-time students, it’s important that your musical abilities and written theory and ear training skills are at a compatible level.

The course is a great starting point to get access at the Jazz Guitar Admission Exam at the local Conservatories for the Bachelor and Master Degree in Jazz Guitar. Also a great support for students during their studies at the Conservatory and to help them in preparing exams of different kind.

What courses will you take?
