It’s 2.01 A.M. in the morning, I know that is not very healthy bring your laptop in the bedroom but sometimes we also need to do this when we’re getting closer on finalizing important things.
As for lot of people and especially for musicians you’re all alone with yourself trying to figure it out what’s going to happen next!
I find my self in this situations very often so I need to keep calm trying to relax myself.
When time is getting harder I found really helpful to workout in the morning and recently I force myself to do it everyday even if for 30 minutes or 45 minutes, this really help me to make me feel more productive. Usually I teach students of all ages in the afternoon so for me it’s very important to take my time and relax my body with some pilates exercise for example. I used to have bad time with my back in the past and l’ve been lucky enough trying the ozone therapy who helped me, together with constant workout, to solve this kind of disease.
I also found, for me of course, that avoid of eating too much at night by spreading out your caloric intake throughout the day is great, I’m not saying to skip meals but choosing healthful foods in little portions during the day.
Recently I’m reading “How Music Works” by David Byrne and I found this book really informative for everyone even if you’re not a musician, this to say that open up my little “evening light bulb” at night before go to sleep sometimes makes you feel much better.
When it’s time to go to bed especially for me lot of thing comes to my mind and seems like they never stops, but at a certain point, if we want to survive the next working days of the week, we need to stop and try to sleep.
Do you have a specific routine everyday?
